Job Description:
A company is looking for an Outpatient Medical Coder Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Train and support new medical record coding specialists
Audit coding of records and ensure compliance with outpatient
coding policies
Code medical records and abstract necessary information for
reimbursement
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Health Information Management or related
field
Minimum two years of daily hospital coding experience in outpatient
settings
Accredited as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or COC
Minimum of two years academic medical coding experience
Maintain continuing education requirements as per relevant
associations
