This position will also support existing businesses through packaging revisions, cost savings projects, and packaging harmonization projects. The Packaging Engineer must bring expert level technical skills and be able to manage multiple packaging projects on schedule. This position is an ideal opportunity for any individual looking to leverage their packaging expertise, with the opportunity for career advancement in a large CPG company.ResponsibilitiesDeliver innovative packaging solutions of flexible films, paperboard, and corrugate based on marketing requirements and consumer insightsSupport cost savings projects and packaging harmonization projects.Manage all aspects of specification development, BOM creation, and document retention for packaging materialsManage deadlines and artwork through development and approvalConduct appropriate distribution testing to validate designsManage multiple projects on scheduleCreate and manage timelines for each project through each project stageLead packaging supplier qualificationsParticipate in equipment manufacturing factory acceptance testsParticipate in equipment qualifications, plant testing, and start-of-production at manufacturing plantsManage quality issue resolution from manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, customers, and consumers by driving rapid resolution through analytical investigationsMentor junior engineers---giving guidance and project assistance to grow the teamQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering from a recognized Packaging ProgramCertified Packaging Professional (CPP)7-10 years of experience in Packaging Engineering role, preferably within CPG companyExpert understanding of packaging materials---flexible films, paperboard, and corrugateExtensive knowledge of Packaging Engineering processes, such as cGMP packaging design and product life cycleProficient in CAPE and Adobe IllustratorExpert understanding of packaging equipment and manufacturingAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAttention to detail and sense of urgency to facilitate organized, accurate, and effective project launchesExcellent communication and presentation skills---ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and our suppliersDeep understanding of the role of packaging on the customer and consumerUnderstanding financial implications of packaging on P&L, Margin, and COGSIdeal, but not required---leadership of junior engineers or packaging staff membersPay Range $100,000 - $125,000#INDONTPI2d24db1e9898-25660-34888514
